There is a quiet moment before the branches move. Then a gust reaches one part of the woods, passes through the next, and lets the trees settle again.
Ghosthold’s wind now travels in patches. Nearby crowns bend more visibly, while the distant woods answer with smaller movements. Some trees stay still as others move beside them, and their roots stay planted throughout.
These four previews each follow a complete 26-second wind cycle at normal speed. The weather and season are held in place so it is easier to watch what the gust changes.
A quiet stretch of woodland
The first seconds are calm. As the breeze rises, different crowns begin to lean at different times. Watch the trunks against the edge of the bank: their feet stay put while the upper branches shift. The wind eases away before the loop begins again.

Rain through the swamp
The swamp gives the same wind a denser setting. Rain falls through the trees, changing its slant as the local breeze strengthens and weakens. The shower continues through the lulls; the branches respond when the wind reaches them.

Snow among the pines
In the winter biome, the wind carries flakes across the pale banks and snowy crowns. The pines move with the gust too. Between wind patches, the snowfall returns to a gentler descent.

Leaves in the Fading
Autumn brings a different trace of the breeze. Loose leaves flutter down from the woodland and catch the wind as they fall. A lull lets them settle; the next gust carries them farther across the scene.
There is less clutter in the air, too. Dust, fireflies and ambient flying wildlife are sparser, leaving more room to see the trees and the few leaves passing between them.
